The infallible trick to say goodbye to farmhouse smell

If you work on or own a farm or stable, you know that the smell can cling to your clothes or even seep into your home. Many customers have told us that farm odor is a stubborn odor that they have trouble getting rid of, even after a good cleaning of clothes or the house. We understand this problem, and we know that people who work on farms need fast, effective solutions because they're so busy. If you're facing this problem, here's the foolproof trick that will help you get rid of that bad smell.

Removing farmhouse odors from clothing

Even if you work on a farm, your clothes don't have to smell that bad, especially when they come out of the laundry. To remove this stubborn odor, we recommend using (D-500) Hard, Non-Porous Surfaces Disinfectant & Animal Odor Neutralizer. Simply pour 125 ml of (D-500) into the washer water with the clothes and do your load as usual. In this case, (D-500)  replaces your conventional cleaner. This product is specifically designed to neutralize ammonia or farmhouse odors embedded in garment fibers.

Tip: Did you know that (D-500) Hard, Non-Porous Surfaces Disinfectant & Animal Odor Neutralizer can also be used to clean your horses' saddle pads? Simply pour 125 ml of the product into the washer (it replaces the conventional cleaner) and clean the saddle. Leave to dry.

Removing farmhouse odours in the home

To effectively eliminate farmyard odors in your home or surrounding air, we recommend using (D-500). This product is both a cleaner and a neutralizer against animal and farm odors. Simply dilute 90 to 120 ml of this product in four liters of water and use to clean floors.

To treat the air in your home, dilute 30 ml of (D-500) in one liter of water and spray onto the filters of your air exchanger, air conditioner or ventilation system. Then turn on the unit for one hour. This allows the product to travel throughout the house, eliminating the odor that is encrusted in the air ducts and in the ambient air of your home.

If you don't have a ventilation system, you can spray (D-500) (30 ml in one liter of water) on a clean cloth, hang it on a standing fan and turn it on for one hour in every room with a bad odor. Unlike air fresheners, which temporarily mask unpleasant odors, (D-500) eliminates unpleasant odors at the source for long-lasting results.
